This is my photography blog. I am focusing on emotional contrast. I am trying to design my images to show a conflict. Sometimes its a conflict between nature and things man has made, sometimes its other things.

Unfortunately, this is how memories work.  I remember this place from my childhood.  Its a good memory where I would spend hours skipping rocks, chasing minnows, and catching crawdads.  The water flows thru a corner here and erodes under the roots of the trees, but the trees just keep growing and hanging on.  It was a simpler time, a time with no burdens or stresses.  ( I was about 8-11 years old)  It was a beautiful and natural place.  But, with time, things change.  Your memory becomes a snapshot of an evolving movie.  When you come back to the picture in your head and lay it over the present, you find the present is polluted.  Thats the great irony of this image, in my mind this corner is a pristine childhood memory, but in reality, you can see the "Bud Light aluminum bottle" and a styrofoam cup that pollute the reality.
